Few places in the world set the scene for romance quite like the Sahara. This 4-day honeymoon tour, designed exclusively for couples, brings together the charm of Marrakech and the silent immensity of the Merzouga dunes on a fully private journey where the only thing you need to worry about is enjoying each other's company.
From the very first moment, every detail of this trip is built around intimacy and romance: a private vehicle with your own driver, a luxury desert camp reserved just for you, a candlelit dinner beneath a sky full of stars, and the perfect opportunities to watch sunrise and sunset together over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
This itinerary suits both newlyweds and any couple simply looking for a memorable, romantic escape away from the busiest routes. The pace is unhurried, the scenery is breathtaking, and each night closes with an experience designed to be remembered for a lifetime.
Pick-up from your riad or hotel in Marrakech in a private vehicle with driver. We begin the journey crossing the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, with scenic stops to admire the mountain landscape and the Berber villages along the road. We will visit the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before continuing to Ouarzazate and the Valley of the Roses.
At the end of the day we will arrive at the Dades Valley, where you will spend the night in a charming riad or kasbah, chosen for its intimate atmosphere and valley views.
Driving distance: Approximately 350 km Driving time: Approximately 6 hours Meals: Dinner
After breakfast, we will travel to Todra Gorge, a canyon with vertical walls over 300 meters high, considered one of the most spectacular in Morocco. We will then continue toward Merzouga, passing through palm groves and Berber villages.
On arrival at the edge of the desert, you will mount camels for an unhurried, private ride into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes as the sun begins to set. There, your private luxury camp awaits, with a tent decorated especially for the occasion and a romantic candlelit dinner beneath a sky full of stars.
Driving distance: Approximately 280 km Driving time: Approximately 4 hours 30 minutes Meals: Breakfast and dinner
You will wake before dawn to climb a nearby dune and watch together one of the most beautiful sunrises in the Sahara, with golden light spreading across the sea of sand. After a relaxed breakfast at the camp, you will have a free day to rest, walk among the dunes, or, if you wish, take an optional 4x4 excursion to explore the desert surroundings and meet a local nomadic family.
In the evening, if you would like to extend the magic of the desert, it is possible to arrange a second night at the camp (on request); otherwise, you will transfer to a charming riad near the dunes to enjoy a little extra comfort before the final day.
Driving distance: Approximately 20 km (local transfers) Driving time: Variable Meals: Breakfast and dinner
After breakfast, we will set off back to Marrakech, crossing the pre-Saharan landscape and the High Atlas once again. We will stop along the way for lunch and rest. You will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where we will drop you at your accommodation, bringing this romantic escape through southern Morocco to a close.
Driving distance: Approximately 560 km Driving time: Approximately 9 hours Meals: Breakfast
